Hee Haw!

We are so excited for our Fall 2025 recital! This recital will be a bit different than our other recitals in that it will have a theme, and we will have some group songs that we hope everyone can join us on! Please read through the following and then fill out the sign up form! Sign ups for the recital will close on Friday Nov 14th so that we can put together a program.

The theme is "Hee Haw" so think country, western, folk, bluegrass, or hillbilly. We will have fun merch to go along with this theme (I’ll send that soon!), some jokes and skits for during the recital, and we encourage students to dress up along this theme on the day of the recital as well (we will have some awards at the recital for best dressed, most creative, etc.)

Students will have the opportunity to sign up for a "solo" slot. This is where they can perform a solo song they are working on (encouraged to fit the theme, but its okay if it doesn't!). Or you could sign up for 1 "solo" slot and instead perform with your teacher, a friend, or a band (only 1 person from the group needs to sign up). There will only be 15 "solo" slots open with a time limit of 3 minutes each so that we keep the recital to 1 hour long. The spots are first come first serve, so if you’d like to reserve one, register below!

After the 15 "solos" we will then invite anyone that would like, to come on stage (whether you played a solo or not!) and join us on 3 group songs:

  • a beginner song (Boil em Cabbage)

  • an intermediate song (Turkey in The Straw)

  • and an advanced song (Wagon Wheel).

You can choose to play on as many of the 3 group songs as you'd like! Music provided here

Please only sign up for a spot below if you plan on performing a solo! If you are only playing on a group song, you dont have to sign up, just show up and join in!

Students can choose to just play on a group song if they are nervous about performing a solo! However, we strongly encourage anyone that is confident enough to perform a solo, to also perform on the group songs! It's important to learn how to play together as a group, listen for balance and blend, following along with rhythm, etc.
