At Snake River Strings Co. we don’t just teach music, we as instructors believe it is important to continue our music profession and show our students that we actively perform as well. All of our instructors are professional performing musicians that work with several different groups to offer some of the best event entertainment, and top musicianship in Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and surrounding states. You won’t find greater musicians with as honed skills on their instruments than at Snake River Strings Co.
We know that planning an event can be stressful, we are here to help make your event easy to book and memorable for your guests.
Our musicians have performed on stage with top acts like Clint Black, Barbara Streisand, Richard Marx, David Archuletta, and more. We have entertained for celebrities, politicians, and corporate groups such as Paul Ryan, The Romney Family, The Boys Scouts of America, the wedding of Bill & Melinda Gates, and more.
We work closely with several wedding and event planners in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Sun Valley, Idaho and have recently been featured in People and Southern Bride Magazines, and in a CMT music video!

Most of our groups charge depending on the group, event, and song requests, not by the hour. We have several different options available for every budget. Our schedules are filling up fast, so please reach out with your event details and we can get you an accurate quote!

Solo Musicians
From the top of the Gondola at Jackson Hole Mountain resort, to Snake River Ranch, Diamond Cross Ranch, The Amangani, and The Wedding Tree at Bridger-Teton National Forrest, we are happy to provide live music for your special event.
A solo musician can add an intimate experience for your audience. We have musicians that can provide a wide variety of music, and are open to requests. Click below to read more!

We have several violinists to choose from, with more affordable rates all the way up to master performing artists. Adding a violinist is sure way to make your event memorable for your guests.
We have a violinist that can perform anything from classical (Vivaldi, Bach, Pachelbel) to country and Irish fiddle, and even pop style violin, with an electric violin and Bose tower speaker.

Cello is gaining popularity since Meghan Markle chose to feature a solo cellist during her wedding ceremony to Prince Harry. The cello has a rich chocolately tone that can’t be beat.
Our cellist is a phenomenal musician with a Bachelor of Arts in Cello performance from the University of Southern California. She has served as the principal cellist for the ISCS and Idaho Falls Symphony. She used to live in Hollywood and perform in professional cinematic symphonies, has performed with Barbara Streisand, and in string quartets for events in Hawaii.
She can play anything from the Bach cello suites, to even irish and celtic style fiddle.

Many event coordinators choose to feature guitar because they used to play guitar when they were younger!
With guitar there are many options for an event. A single musician can provide classical or acoustic guitar for a ceremony, then electric guitar (think Chris Stapleton vibes!) for a cocktail hour. We have guitarists that can include some vocals as well.

Harp would be the perfect choice if you would like your guests to feel like they were being serenaded by angels.
Our phenomenal pedal harpist is based out of Wyoming and has performed professionally for weddings and events for over 20 years.
She has a full range of musical choices and ideas. Choosing the perfect music for your event can be challenging. As a professional musician she will help make your music selection decisions an enjoyable and stress-free experience.

If you want your event to be a classic and romantic evening, a solo pianist would be the perfect choice.
Our pianist can play everything from Chopin to Rachmaninoff. She is also open to learning song requests.

Duos
Two musicians are great for creating a more full sound but is also affordable. One instrument can provide melody, with the other on accompaniment. Our musicians work together weekly and can basically read each-other’s minds at this point! They are great at feeling out the audience and knowing what song choices to play to fit the moment.

Our violin and harp duet is beginning to be one of the most requested duos in the region. With the beautiful serenades of the harp, and the subtle romantic violin melody, your guests are sure to be enjoying themselves.
Both our harpist and violinist are well-versed in classical music, as well as cowboy country, celtic, jazz, and everything in-between. Their talent, experience, and combination of these musical styles is rare.

We call this duet the “cowboy classical” style. Our guitarist is an Idaho Arts Fellowship recipient, with over 40 years of experience as a top requested musician in Jackson and surrounding areas. Our fiddler is a national champions fiddler with a degree in music education. They are both multi-instrumentalists and can mix in banjo, guitar, mandolin, and vocals in addition to fiddle and guitar.
You name the song, and they are sure to have played it before! They are also open to requests, make sure to take a listen to their interesting cover of a Jay-Z rap song a bride in the past requested on youtube below.

This duo is very similar to the popular Brooklyn Duo or The Piano Guys on youtube.
With the beautiful chocolatey cello and crisp piano keys, your guests are sure to be serenaded with this classic combination.

String Quartets
String quartets first flourished in the 18th century, and have been a staple in traditional weddings. They have now gained popularity from the Netflix series Bridgerton where traditional string quartets are featured playing modern pop music.
A string quartet usually consists of 2 violins, a viola, and a cello. But we also have the option of mixing in a harp for clients that want to have it all!

Our traditional string quartet has been featured in People and Southern Bride magazines. We have a wide variety of repertoire and are happy to help you in your musical selections.

This combination has been the most popular because it’s the best of both worlds.
All of the members of this quartet are well-versed in multiple styles of music, and are multi-instrumentalists.
Some events we have played for in the past we have provided more classical music for the wedding ceremony, then mixed in some guitar and fiddle music for the cocktail hour to liven things up a bit!

Our western swing and bluegrass band is called Rawhide N Rosin!
"A pinch of classic, a hint of hick, a fistful of talent and a whole lot of kick!" Rawhide n' Rosin combines smooth soulful ballads, and energetic bluegrass with jazz, swing, and traditional old-time music for a combination that will appeal to any and all. Audiences are delighted with their polished, professional sound as well as their down to earth personalities and easy-going humor.
Rawhide n' Rosin is made up of longtime requested duo, Vincent & Mindi, and the newest addition, Shelby Murdock.
In 2008 Vince and Mindi received the Western Music Association's Harmony Duo of The Year Award and in 2011 were nominated for the WMA Crescendo Award. The first Two Vince and Mindi CD's "Longing for The Range" & "Where the West Begins" have both spent time in the top 20 play-list charts of the Western Music Association.
They are a 3 piece band and have the option of adding drums and another guitar player to make a full 5 piece band great for dancing.
