Cello Lessons

Unlock the magic of music with Cello lessons at Snake River Strings Co

Why Cello Lessons At Snake River Strings Co.?

We have a passion for Cello! From playing in youth symphony to winning state solo, our students love the cello and actually WANT to practice! Playing music with others makes it even funner, that's why we offer group activities along with private lessons in our monthly program.

What does that mean for you? No more headaches and frustrations, and no more crying from your child about how they “HAVE” to practice cello.

At Snake River Strings Co, our goal is to set students up with an amazing cello teacher who will motivate them and build their confidence.  We know if we do this, our students are going to love coming to cello lessons every week (and you’re going to thank us for that).

What will this lesson look like?

Our cello teachers will start out by getting to know you and your goals.  Whether that’s auditioning for youth symphony, improving your technique, or becoming the next Yo-Yo Ma. From there our cello teachers will set up a clear way to achieve your goals and continue becoming a better musician.  During your cello lesson a teacher will likely recommend a lesson book.

  • ALL-INCLUSIVE LEARNING PROGRAM- Our school is the only school around that can offer the student experience and well-rounded music education that budding musicians need! We don’t do JUST private lessons every week, we ALSO have an elective week on the 4th week of every month where students can attend as many classes as they’d like. At these group classes, private students get to know each other, jam on songs together, push each other to get better, make friends, apply what they’re learning in private lessons, and most importantly HAVE FUN! In addition we also have monthly jam sessions, performance opportunities, and semester showcases.

  • CONVENIENCE - Let’s face it. We know you are busy! Our student portal sends automated reminders about lessons, and allows flexibility to self-book makeup lessons if you’ll be gone! We can’t add minutes to your days, but we can work to schedule your whole family within the same time block!  We have a comfy lobby, free Wi-Fi, and kids activities.

The cello is beginning to gain popularity thanks to great musicians right now like 2 Cellos, The Pianos Guys, Apocalyptica, and Stjepan Hauser. It was even featured in the Netflix Wednesday Addam’s series!

It deserves the attention because of it’s chocolately tone! You get all of the same opportunities that violin has to offer, but no squeaking!

Our talented and inspiring music teachers here at Snake River Strings Co. are well-known for their skill in cello lessons. Many of them teach the suzuki method and incorporate other methods like the American Fiddle Method for Cello and Solos For Young Cellists.

While many students dedicate themselves to learning classical pieces on the cello, we teach all styles of playing. Country and Western music is hugely popular among cello students, and fans of pop love to learn covers from Wednesday Addam’s. We even teach celtic fiddle style cello (similar to the style of Natalie Haas).
