School is back in session, fall routines are settling in, and we have lots happening at SRSC this month! From new classes to performance opportunities, here’s what you need to know for September. 🎶
🌟 Student of the Month: Chandler Wartenbe
Chandler is 11 years old and has been part of Snake River Strings Co. for nearly five years, studying voice and guitar with his longtime teacher, Porter. A true music lover, Chandler has set an ambitious goal: to learn every instrument there is! He’s already singing, playing guitar and harmonica, and will soon add violin through his middle school orchestra.
One of the things we admire most about Chandler is his willingness to challenge himself. Despite some of the social challenges that come with being on the autism spectrum, he has bravely taken the stage in several Snake River Strings performances, including songs from Newsies, The Greatest Showman, and even KPop Demon Hunters!
Outside of music, Chandler loves building worlds in Minecraft and Roblox, reading Dog Man, jumping on the trampoline, and spending time with his older sister Emily, whom he looks up to and fiercely supports.
Chandler has a big heart, big musical goals, and a determination to keep growing. We’re so proud of the progress he’s made and excited to celebrate him as our Student of the Month! 🎶
Closure reminder!
A quick reminder that Snake River Strings Co. will be closed Monday, September 7th for Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend! ❤️
(Friendly reminder that if your scheduled lesson lands on a closure date, you are not charged for that lesson.)

Pocatello Students: Perform at the Farmers Market!
Our Pocatello students are invited to perform at the Pocatello Farmers Market on Saturday, October 17th from 9 AM–1 PM! All ages and instruments are welcome—it’s a fun, low-pressure way to share what you’ve been working on with the community.
RSVP by September 12th! Participation is totally optional, but we’d love to see you there!
Perform at the Eastern Idaho State Fair!
We’re giving our students the opportunity to take the stage at the Eastern Idaho State Fair! It’s a great chance to share what you’ve been working on and gain some real-world performance experience.
Bluegrass group: September 7th at 4PM
Rock band group: September 4th at 7PM
